Scarf Trends Fall/Winter 2012
17 Wednesday Oct 2012
Now that the temperature has dropped it’s time to break out the scarves. That’s right my friends, Scarf Season is back. I don’t know about you but I can’t think of another accessory that comes close to being as comfy and cozy as a warm scarf on a chilly morning. Scarves have become one of the most sought after trends for the fall and winter seasons. They are the perfect addition to any outfit; an absolute must-have for every girl’s wardrobe. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve pulled a jeans and tee-shirt outfit together with a colorful scarf, it gives a comfy casual outfit a little bit of fabulous! While a scarf is just an accessory it has the ability to transform your entire look! You MUST checkout The Knot Library: 50+ ways to tie a scarf, you will be amazed at all the things you can do with a scarf!!!
There are a ton of different variations of scarves ranging from color to print, texture and material to shape and size allowing you to find a scarf that brings out your personality and compliments your outfit at the same time.
Some of the trendiest scarves this season are Snood Scarves, Knitted Scarves and Fur Scarves
Snood Scarf – A snood scarf is a tubular scarf where the material is in the shape of a circle. This type of scarf is often called a circle scarf, infinity scarf, or loop scarf. It’s essentially a scarf with the two ends sewn together. I love the fact that you can just slide it over your head, I mean how convenient is that!! Snood scarves come in all sorts of materials, colors and patterns. This fashion-forward trend is something that you will see a lot of this fall and winter, so make sure to put the Snood Scarf on your must-buy list, I know it’s on mine!!
Knitted Scarf – This type of scarf is timeless, it’s been around for years and I don’t see it going anywhere in the years to come. The Knitted Scarf is a more casual style scarf and is made for cold weather, as it’s soft chunky fabric makes any cold winters day a little more cozy.
Faux Fur Scarf – Faux Fur is back again this year, you will see Fur Scarves in both long and short lengths, as well as a variety of bold colors and prints. This sophisticated trend adds a touch of glam to any outfit.
