The Boho Chic Fashion Trend
27 Friday Feb 2015
With spring being less than a month away I wanted to share one of my absolute favorite trends for spring 2015, the Boho chic fashion trend. Boho Chic is a modern day spin on the 60’s and 70’s hippie movement that alludes a free-spirit and easygoing lifestyle.
Boho Chic style is characterized by its loose-flowing silhouette, use of natural fabrics, earth tones, western, floral, jacquard and ethnic inspired prints, flare finishes, embroidered designs, crochet and lace hemlines, fringe trim and multiple layers. While the Bohemian look isn’t new to the fashion industry it has continously evolved, and spring 2015 adds a romantic flair to this western wear, flower power combo through the use of silk, chiffon, tulle, lace and beaded embellishments.
Another characteristic of the Boho Chic trend is layered accessories from stacks of bracelets to african inspired necklaces to brim hats and hairwraps. Lots of accessories are key for achieving the perfect Boho Chic look.
There are so many ways to incorporate the Boho Chic fashion trend into your wardrobe, but to get you started I’ve put together several fabulous Boho Chic looks with pieces from Scoop NYC. If you love the Boho Chic trend as much as I do, you should definitely check out Scoop NYC. They have an amazing selection of Boho inspired pieces from fringe jackets to flowy floral dresses to embroidered pattern shirts, crochet dresses, lace shorts and everything in-between.
