My constant obsession with DIY Home renovations started  the day Jairus and I moved into our first home it was September 23rd 2005.  The night we moved in I was up until 3am re-painting the kitchen (there was this horrific floral wallpaper that gave me the hebejeevies) and I just couldn’t take looking at it one more day. I painted the Kitchen a bright red, looking back, I don’t know what in the world I was thinking but that was only the beginning. I re-painted every room in the house before the year was up and have painted it over and over and over again. After awhile I became brave and wanted to take on more challenging diy home improvement projects. At first, I thought taking on diy projects would be fairly easy, at least the people on HGTV make make it look easy, but I soon learned  that it wasn’t as easy as it looked. It took a lot of research and tons of trial and error, so I wanted to share my DIY Projects and lessons learned with all of the brave DIYers out there, so whether you’re looking to enhance the look of your house through architectural mouldings (wainscot paneling, casing, crown moulding, etc.), install new flooring, or transition your kitchen or bathroom cabinets this is for you. If I can do it, so can you!! I hope that my stories and lessons learned will inspire you and help you long the way. Always remember, the more you do it, the easier it gets.
