I have been wanting to make a Framed Monogram Letter to go on the shelf just below the door bell box in my foyer. I think
that a Framed Monogram Letter would be the perfect piece to not only hide that awful looking box but to add character to the foyer. I wanted to use Burlap because I think it goes with the shabby chic theme not to mention I just love Burlap!!
This is such an easy project, it only took me about 30 minutes to make and since I had quite a bit of Burlap left over from the Burlap Pennant Banner that I made a few weeks back it was essentially free to make.
Here is what you will need
- Burlap
- Stencil or Printed Letter
- Paint
- Fray Check
Step 1: Iron the Burlap and then trace the outline of the glass onto the Burlap
Step 2: Cut out the Burlap and then apply fray check to the edges to keep the burlap from coming unraveled
Step 3: I used Word to find a typeface and printed off the letter B in a large print using Georgia Font. Lay the letter under the burlap, you can see the letter through the fabric.
Step 4: Trace the outline of the letter
Step 5: Paint the Letter
Step 6: Let the Paint Dry
Step 7: Put the Monogrammed Burlap into the picture frame and you’re all done

What type of paint did you use?
