Burlap Bunny Ear Napkin Rings {Tutorial}

I was in Michaels yesterday looking around in their Easter section and I came across the cutest set of Burlap Bunny Ear Napkin Rings. They were absolutely adorable and the fact that they were made out of my absolute favorite fabric….Burlap, made them even better. Sooooo DIY Burlap Bunny Ear Napkin Rings immediately became a MUST-do project on my list book of DIY projects. Since Easter is only a few weeks away I knew that time was of the essence and that I needed to get started pretty quickly if I wanted to display them before the Easter holiday! Thankfully I had all of the supplies on hand, so all I needed to do was find the time, which thankfully this is a super easy project that literally takes no-time to make. So after I put my adorable ENERGETIC toddler to bed last night I went to my in-progress craftroom and made a set of 4 Burlap Bunny Ear Napkin Rings! Yay, for starting and finishing a project without getting sidetracked!! 🙂

Okay, let’s get started!!

Materials

• Burlap
• Toilet Paper Roll or Paper Towel Roll
• Hot Glue Gun
• Bunny Ear Template (Here is the one I used)
• Measuring Tape
• Fray Check
• Scissors

Step 1: Cut Toilet Paper roll into strips. Start by cutting it in half vertically and then cutting strips that are 2″ wide.

Step 2: Iron your Burlap

Step 3: Cut Strips of Burlap that are 4″ wide by 6″ long

Step 4: Place toilet paper roll strip on top of burlap strip and fold over burlap. Remove toilet paper roll and iron burlap in place

 

Step 5: Place Toilet Paper Strip in center of Burlap

Step 6: Glue burlap to toilet paper roll

Step 7: Cut extra Burlap off and apply fray check

Step 8: Glue ends together to make a ring

Step 9: Cut two strips of Burlap and lay them on top of each other

Step 10: Trace Bunny Ears onto Burlap then cut out the bunny ears. You’ll be cutting through 2 layers of Burlap.

Step 11:  Glue the two bunny ears on top of each other

Step 12: Apply Fray Check around bunny ears to keep it from fraying

 Step 13: Trim edges of bunny ears then glue the bottom of the ear together

Step 14: Glue Bunny ears together at the bottom

Step 15: Glue the set of bunny ears onto the burlap napkin ring

Now you have a Burlap Bunny Ear Napkin Ring
